Wedding Packages

Black Walnut weddings are nothing short of picture-perfect.
Imagine a backdrop featuring expansive vineyard views, a weekend of exquisite food and wine, and a warm, knoweledgeable staff to attend to every perfect detail.

Below is an overview of policies, as well as answers to commonly asked questions. Please do not hesitate to contact us for additional information or a quote.

  • Wedding groups may total a maximum of 50 attendees.
  • A $2,500 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your date and the terms provided in the event quote for 30 days. A signed agreement must be completed within 30 days to secure the event reservation.
  • Wedding reservations require a minimum two-night buyout of all nine guest rooms.
  • 50% of the room reservation value is due at the time the event agreement is signed. Remaining balance is due 90 days in advance of event date.
  • Once event agreement is signed, rooms will be made available for individual reservations by event guests. Rooms not filled 90 days in advance of event date will be the responsibility of the host. 
  • Our nine guest rooms must be reserved for a minimum of two evenings including the night before and the night of the ceremony. Wedding guests may reserve rooms directly with the Inn after the room block has been established.
  • Venue fees apply to groups up to 50 people. This includes use of our indoor main floor common areas and outdoor areas including the Courtyard, East Patio, Cellar and South Patio.
  • Room buyout rates range $6,480 - $10,000 for a two-night stay based on seasonal room rates.
  • Venue fees range from $3,500 in winter to $9,500 in summer through early fall.
  • A professional event planner is required to manage coordination for a minimum of three months in advance of wedding date in addition to onsite coordination on the wedding day. Planner will work directly with a Black Walnut event coordinator on event details and logistics.
  • Approved vendors are required for event planning, catering, and rental vendors. Rentals are necessary for groups of 25 and more. All other vendors are to be contracted and coordinated through the client.
  • Rehearsal dinner catering is available from Black Walnut for groups of up to 24 guests. Our chefs develop a custom wine-paired menu in the style that best suits the group.
  • Wine is purchased directly from the Black Walnut. A $35 per bottle corkage fee applies for personal wine consumed by event guests. Beer and cocktails are managed through the selected catering service. View Event Wine List
  • Our seasonal, farm fresh breakfast is included in the room charge for all overnight guests. If desired, we are able to offer brunch service to accommodate additional guests.

  • Access to the Inn for setup begins at 12pm on day of arrival. Cleanup must be completed by 12pm on day of departure. Guest check in and check out times follow our standard policies.
  • Amplified sound is not permitted outdoors per county regulations. Amplified music may be used indoors only. All outdoor music must be acoustic.
  • Reception ends at 10pm in compliance with county ordinances. All non-overnight guests must vacate the property by this time. Black Walnut quiet hours begin at 10pm.
  • Guests under the age of 21 are permitted onsite for full buyout events and must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

We do maintain a waitlist for specific dates. 


Elopements at Black Walnut

An intimate ceremony celebrating a most important life moment.

Elopements are offered in our Cellar Space and attached South Patio, which offer sweeping vineyard views. Ceremonies may be scheduled within a two hour window between 12pm and 4pm. This time frame includes photography, setup, and cleanup.

Six guests

Designed to include the couple, officiant, photographer and two witnesses. 
$600 venue fee plus reservation of at least one guest room.
Available year round.

Ten guests

Designed to include six witnesses as well as the officiant and photographer.
$600 venue fee plus a minimum reservation of three guest rooms.
Available November through June.

Choose from among our preferred vendors of photography, floral design and celebration cakes.
Photography is permitted in the Cellar, South Patio, Courtyard, and your guest room.

Additional arrangements may be made to celebrate with champagne service, a Black Walnut dinner, private wine tasting and more. Please inquire for details.
